I have been with DSISD since 2005 and I previously taught in New Mexico.    This is my 20th year of teaching!  I have worked in Kinder, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade General Ed, Inclusion and Resource classrooms.  I am certified to teach Pre-K to 8th grade, and Special Education Early Childhood Education to 6th grade .  I hold certification in English Language Learners, and have training in teaching students who are Gifted & Talented.

Happiness for me is spending as much time as possible outdoors with my family.  My husband, Brent, and I have a daughter (age 23) and a son (age 20) who live in the Austin area.  Both our children were raised in Dripping Springs and graduated from DSHS.  (My husband graduated also from DSHS!)  Our children are 5th generation Texans!  We love this community and have observed the incredible growth in the 22 years we've lived here.  We enjoy being at the lake, traveling, and spending time with our families in Texas and New Mexico.

I am very excited to be teaching kindergarten again this year!  It is my favorite time in a child's development.  Five and six year olds are brimming with energy and wonder!  There is so much to learn and explore this year! 

I am looking forward to a great year with the CLASS of 2030!
